Visions
Signs, omens, synchronicities. Seeing them is universal. Translation is user dependent.
Between Sight and Memory Analogue collage, acrylic · 2025 · 8 × 10 in
Half of this is what was seen. The other half is what was remembered. They don’t quite line up, but they’re not supposed to.
Eye Behold Ink, watercolor, colored pencil, photographs of the artist’s hands · 2024 · 8 × 10 in
Every hand in this is mine, photographed twenty years ago, holding an eye I drew on a coaster at a bar once. I finished it the week I came back to art, and I don’t think that was a coincidence.

About This Piece
It’s a self-portrait, though there’s no face in it. I didn’t do that on purpose. I tend to find out what a piece is about after it’s done, and this one took me longer than most.
I put it all together after a long time away. Some hard years, during a long stretch of feeling lost. I didn’t build it to be a door. It just turned out to be one.
What Comes After Mixed media: acrylic, colored pencil, pastel, gesso, epoxy resin · 2017 · 21 × 42 in
A supernova is the most violent thing a star can do, and this is what it leaves behind. It’s not beautiful despite the explosion, it’s beautiful because of it. The catastrophe is over. What remains is the part worth looking at.
Metamorphosis at Dusk Analogue collage, with digital elements · 2025 · 6 × 6 in
Everything at the edge of the day, turning into what’s next. The eyes are still there. They used to worry me, but we’ve made our peace. Mostly.
Cycles
Decay doing the quiet work of beginnings.
Systems
The machinery we live inside. Participation was never optional.
